Bracelet

 Supplies:
fabric
heavy gauge wire
wire cutters
scissors
needle nose pliers

Measure your wrist and add 3 inches. Cut three strips of fabric 1/4 inch wide. Tie a knot on the end. Cut a piece of wire the length of your wrist plus 1/4 inch. Take wire and wrap an end around a strip of fabric close to the knot that you tied. Then start to braid and keep one piece of fabric with the wire as you braid. When you reach the end of the wire tie another knot on the end. Trim knots if needed. Then bend to make into a circle to make the bracelet.

Jewelry - Vintage Pendant

This pendant was made with my Grandmother's jewelry. It was an earring that I made into a pendant.

Insecticide Spray

I am still making lotions and potions with all of the essential oils I bought. The insect repellent (blog post 7/1/13) worked for about fifteen minutes before the mosquitoes decided the spray tasted like a marinade and NOT a repellent! The deodorant (blog post 7/3/13) worked but I would not recommend traveling with it. It was a melted mess when I arrived at our destination. I will make more and use it only in my home. My next experiment is a homemade insecticide spray. I adapted this one so my husband can use it on his garden. Insecticide Spray   1/2 head of garlic (you do not need to peel them) 1/2 T of pepper flakes 1/2 cup water   Process in a blender until smooth then pout mixture through a sieve to remove chunks of garlic or pepper flakes. This is your "base."   Pour your base mixture into a spray bottle. Add 4 cups of water and 1 teaspoon of Jojoba oil. Screw on top and shake.
