Home Decor - 4th of July table decorations

These stars are very easy to make and can be used for many different occasions. Pick red, white and blue for Memorial Day or Fourth of July, use the colors of your school for a graduation party or silver for New Years. They are cut from card stock paper. You could cut different size stars and use the smaller ones for name plates. Paper Stars

Jewelry - Necklace - Upcycle bottle caps- kid friendly

Summer is a few weeks away and more drinks will be consumed with a plastic cap. We all know we should stop purchasing plastic water bottles but many are still purchased. So, recycle the bottles and "upcycle" the caps by making cap jewelry! Bottle Cap Jewelry

Home Decor - Table Decoration

My son loves books. His High School was throwing away old reference books so he brought them home. He knew I would try to make something with them. I made one book into a tree. You can use it on your table for any holiday. Paint it green for Christmas, blue for Hanukkah, pink for Easter etc...or leave it black and white for any day. Table Decoration Supplies: old book, large telephone book or magazine spray paint (optional) Take an old book and cut off the front and back cover. Then start to fold each corner into the center, do this to every page. You can use a butter knife to smooth out the fold. Once done, spray paint it any color or leave it black and white.

Home Decor - Wooden Box

My friend told me about his gratitude jar. Every night he writes and dates a note about something or someone he is thankful for and puts it in his jar. Then at the end of the year he reads the notes and sees how grateful he is for his life. I loved this idea and painted a wooden box for my gratitude box. My Dad sent this quote to me many, many years ago. Today is his birthday. He would have been 78.  I miss him very much. Remembering Dad
