Dream Board

Traveling Dream Board

Supplies:
cereal box
craft paper
card stock
ribbon
Cut two squares from the cereal box to desired size. Cover in craft paper (like you are wrapping a present.) Cut 6 pieces of card stock the size of the cereal box plus and extra inch on one side. Fold over the 1 inch on each of the card stock. Take one piece of card stock and apply glue on the inside of the fold. Take another card stock that you have folded. Glue the non folded end to the card stock and make sure the folded end is facing out. Then repeat and make sure the folded end is facing in and then the out for the next one and so on. You want it to look like a fan when you are done. Once you have finished gluing the card stock together glue one end to the papered cereal box and one to the other piece. You can decoarte by gluing a ribbon on the end. Now you are ready to decorate your dream board.

Jewelry - Vintage Pendant

This pendant was made with my Grandmother's jewelry. It was an earring that I made into a pendant.

Insecticide Spray

I am still making lotions and potions with all of the essential oils I bought. The insect repellent (blog post 7/1/13) worked for about fifteen minutes before the mosquitoes decided the spray tasted like a marinade and NOT a repellent! The deodorant (blog post 7/3/13) worked but I would not recommend traveling with it. It was a melted mess when I arrived at our destination. I will make more and use it only in my home. My next experiment is a homemade insecticide spray. I adapted this one so my husband can use it on his garden. Insecticide Spray   1/2 head of garlic (you do not need to peel them) 1/2 T of pepper flakes 1/2 cup water   Process in a blender until smooth then pout mixture through a sieve to remove chunks of garlic or pepper flakes. This is your "base."   Pour your base mixture into a spray bottle. Add 4 cups of water and 1 teaspoon of Jojoba oil. Screw on top and shake.
