Henri Matisse made gouaches decoupes (paintings from cut outs) which he liked to describe as "painting with scissors."  BLUE NUDE was one of the many famous paintings from this time.
 Here is another one of my "paintings with scissors."
The first one I posted was on June 19, 2013.

Supplies:
canvas
paper for acrylic paint
acrylic paint
paint brushes
glue
scissors

Look at some of Matisse's gouaches decoupes paintings for inspiration.
Paint canvas a color you want for your background. Now paint several pieces of paper different colors. Let dry. Cut out shapes. Glue onto canvas. Let dry.
